Salma is your host and guide, the one voice in the quarter who speaks to you directly in English. Fully bilingual and completely at home in the Book Quarter, she explains every letter, sound and root, catches Sam's mistakes before they catch you, and is the only one who ever names a grammar point or drops the gentle "you'd say it differently in a dialect" note. She is calmest exactly when you feel most lost.
