Umm Nadia runs the little café where the whole quarter gathers, her brass coffee pot always warm. She carries the hospitality, greetings and everyday politeness of the medina, and welcomes Sam with a kindness that needs no perfect grammar. Generous, quick to smile, and always the first to make a stranger feel at home.
