The corner shop — the dekkéné — belongs to Sett Sana, queen of numbers. She’s brisk, fair, and she already has a soft spot for your Téta Nabiha… which may come with strings attached.

Perfect. قدّيش هيدا؟ means “how much is this?” Two parts. قدّيش — 2addésh — starts with that little catch in the throat on the 2. Don’t make it a hard k; it’s a glottal stop. Then هيدا — hayda — is “this” for masculine or general items. Register: super everyday. Common mistake? People switch to fus7a and say “kam haḏa?” Don’t.
