Every Fablingo course drops you into the same kind of place — a café, a corner shop, a handful of people you come to know — and teaches through comprehensible input: you always understand enough to follow, and each episode adds just a little more. Below is what that means in practice. Each course then explains it again in its own words, in the language it teaches from.
Stories beat word lists
You remember what happened to the newcomer at the café — and the words arrive attached to it. A list of twenty nouns has nothing to hold on to; a scene does. That's why the cast, the street and the running plot never reset between episodes.
Understandable from minute one
Nothing is taught by translation drill. Scenes are set up in the language you already speak, the dialogue then uses language you've been prepared for, and pictures and situation carry the rest. You understand most of it and stretch for the remainder — that stretch is where acquisition happens.
You speak out loud, from lesson one
Every episode has “say it with me” beats that stop and wait for you. Speaking is physical: your mouth has to learn shapes it has never made. Learners who only listen understand a lot and can say nothing — we'd rather you sounded clumsy in week one than silent in year two.
Spaced review, hidden in the plot
A phrase from episode 3 comes back in 4, then 6, then 11, because somebody in the story needs it again. Every few lessons a review episode retells everything so far in the target language only — usually the moment learners first notice they're following without translating.
The traps YOUR language sets
Interference is specific: a Polish speaker of English, an English speaker of Arabic and a Lebanese speaker of English each fall into different holes. Every lesson names the one it's walking past, at the moment it appears — before it hardens into a habit.

The full courses are public on YouTube. This site is the text layer: dialogue in writing, a page per phrase, downloadable flashcard decks, traps as standalone articles, and a ✓ per lesson so you can always find your place. Two new lessons a week per course.
