tengo dos hermanos
I have two brothers (possession + plural)
Common trap for English speakers hermanos (masculine plural) covers a mixed group of siblings or just brothers; no article after the number.
In the story
Yo… tengo dos hermanos. ¿Y tú?
Lucía
Perfect model: tengo dos hermanos. tengo—I have. dos—two. hermanos—plural s at the end. If it’s one, hermano; more than one, hermanos. You can also say hermanas for sisters, or hermanos for mixed group. Say it with her: tengo dos hermanos.
Lucía
Now you: tengo… dos… hermanos. Again, a little faster: tengo dos hermanos. Natural, proud.
